Kiran Chemjong was awarded 'Man of the Match' award
India were held to a goalless draw by a resilient Nepal side at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Delhi. Nepal started well, created many chances and kept opponent under pressure. Gorkhalis got first point of the tournament after losing first two matches. Nepalese side were recharged and full of spirit. Some impressive performance by midfielder Bhola Silwal and young Jagjeet Shrestha and solid rock defense by captain Sagar Thapa and Rohit Chand were main highlight of the show.
Nepal’s goalie Kiran Chemjong was main attraction of the match as he clearly saved many chances of Indians that came in second half. Hence he was awarded ‘man of the match’ award with cash USD 1500. Now Nepal takes on Syria in last match of the tournament.
