India defeated Nepal in final of 2nd SAFF Women’s Championship in Sri Lanka. Nepal opened the goal in 3rd minute but India equalized in 8th minute. First half ended in 1-1. Indian women fired two late goals to lift the trophy and the match ended 3-1 in regulation time. This is second consecutive title for India. Nepal lost to similar opponent in first edition of tournament back in 2010 in Bangladesh. Nepalese skipper Jamuna Gurung was the highest scorer of the tournament with the eight goals in 5 matches.
